Okay, so maybe my sense of humor is just lacking or something, but I totally didn't find this funny...

Last night I put on yoga pants, and the tie string got knotted up.  Well, I couldn't see over my fat gut to unknot the freaking thing, so Curt comes into the bathroom to see me sitting on the toilet with my pants at my knees, picking at this giant snarled knot.  "Starky, what are you doing?" he asks, and after I explain, he bursts out laughing.  "NO WAY is your gut that big!" and I pull up my pants to show him that yes, indeed, my gut is that big.  He ended up having to pick that knot apart for me, and he almost couldn't do it because he was laughing at me so hard.

How the hell is that funny?  IT'S PARTIALLY HIS FAULT, HE SHOULD BE NICER TO ME.  Men are assholes.

I'm sure it was just the way you said something, or the way you looked at him. I know there are situations like that where I laugh and my wife just doesn't get it or is even offended, but it's usually just a look or a sound in the context of the situation that strikes me as amusing. I just can't help but laugh, despite the bewildered look on my wife's face.

He does, Jake, he just teases me about being pregnant, that's all.  I guess he thought it was hilarious mostly because this is the first real difficulty I've had (besides vomiting).  I haven't asked for help at all so far, or done any of those things that you expect from a stereotypical pregnant woman, and I guess it was just funny to him to see me finally have such a silly problem, to finally not be able to do something on my own.

But GRRRR, that's part of what irked me so much about it!

Well I did laugh a little when I first read it and I have no idea why... but I think OTIK is more so on the right track, we just react to things differently, wait till he sees you have birth.

I know what you mean Starky. I had to get Dwayne to pull me out of the tub. We have a big garden bathtub, and it just wasn't happening on my own. He found me there after 30 minutes of trying it on my own.
